Artists Nick Lyle and Jean Whitesavage created the building's artwork. For inspiration, they used the nearby Longfellow Creek watershed and designed sculptures of native plants that embellish the architecture.
Metal artists Nick Lyle and Jean Whitesavage launched the first branch art project under the Libraries for All building program.
The artists collaborated and made the artwork themselves out of hand-forged steel, using native plants found along nearby Longfellow Creek as inspiration.
