The Government Documents Collection at the Central Library houses a digital and print collection of documents produced by both the federal government and Washington state. The collection includes publications by the congressional, legislative and executive branches, as well as research by federal and state departments.
Since 1908, The Seattle Public Library's Federal Depository has housed documents published by the Government Printing Office (GPO). We are also a state depository library, and house documents published by the Washington state government.
The collection is available to access at the Central Library during open hours. A dedicated computer station for researching government documents is available on Level 7. You can place a hold on items that are available to borrow.
City of Seattle documents are part of our Seattle Room Collections.
