Alice Hoffman Discusses 'The Rules of Magic' at The Seattle Public Library 10/19

Author Alice Hoffman discusses her new novel, "The Rules of Magic," the prequel to her bestseller, "Practical Magic," from 7 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636 .
Library programs and events are free and everyone is welcome. Parking is available at the Central Library garage for $6 after 5 p.m.
"The Rules of Magic" follows the lives of Franny and Jet Owens along with their brother, Vincent. The three children are dangerously unique and despite their mother's efforts, can escape neither love nor the pains of the human heart that lead to the events in "Practical Magic."
Hoffman is the bestselling author of more than 30 works of fiction, including "The Marriage of Opposites," "The Red Garden," The Oprah's Book Club selection "Here on Earth," "The Museum of Extraordinary Things" and "The Dovekeepers."
The book will be available for purchase and signing.
