Watch the Apple Cup at The Seattle Public Library Nov. 29

Husky and Cougar fans are invited to watch Washington State's 119-year-old college football rivalry unfold on the big screen when The Seattle Public Library shows the Apple Cup game between the University of Washington and Washington State University from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636.
"The Library is a wonderful community gathering place for information, education and recreation," said City Librarian Marcellus Turner. "We thought it would be fun to give Library patrons, downtown workers and visitors the opportunity to watch the game at the Central Library, particularly for those who don't have ready access to a television. There is also something special about watching a sporting event surrounded by people who share the same passion."
He added that "no one will be shushed" for cheering.

Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Doors will open at 12:40 p.m. and seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The auditorium can accommodate about 275 people.
