The Seattle Public Library United Way of King County and AARP are collaborating to offer free tax preparation service now through mid-April at 11 locations. A full schedule for all locations is available at spl.org/taxhelp.
Trained volunteers will answer questions and help prepare personal tax returns. The service is not available for business tax returns. See the list of required documents you'll need to bring to get tax help at spl.org/taxhelp.
Two types of tax help will be offered:
The schedule below is subject to change. Please see the calendar before visiting a location. No tax help on days when the Library is closed: Mondays, Jan. 20 and Feb. 17, and Tuesday, March 3.
Drop-in Tax Help - Offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations or appointments are accepted at these locations. The last client will be taken 30-45 minutes before the end of drop-in hours at each location

Please bring blank IRS forms with you or print them at the Library. Most IRS forms are available online at www.irs.gov. The forms may be printed from Library computers for $0.15 per page. To request forms by mail, order online at IRS.gov/orderforms or call 1-800-829-3676.
Tax help at the Central Library, Douglass-Truth and University branches is provided by United Way of King County. Tax help at the Ballard, Broadview, Delridge, Greenwood, NewHolly, Northeast, Queen Anne and Southwest branches is provided by AARP.
