Learn how to sell your art online and take interesting photos with The Seattle Public Library's upcoming digital creativity workshops: The Online Marketplace (Etsy, etc.) on Sept. 15 and Photography for the Holidays on Oct. 20.

Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required.

SCHEDULE

  • 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 - The Online Marketplace (Etsy, etc.). Learn about different business models for online art sales and discover which is right for you. Explore what you need to do to get ready for selling online, including how to photograph what you plan to sell to improve your success. The class will take a look at a few sites, including Etsy.com, as examples of what to expect out there in the online marketplace.
  • 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20Photography for the Holidays. This class focuses on how to make the best, most interesting photographs possible, including tips like lighting, poses, backgrounds, techniques and composition for family photographs and landscapes.
