A writing residency is a retreat experience where you have time away from your regular life to focus on your work. There are a variety of residency offerings in the Pacific Northwest.

At this event, a panel of representatives from Washington residencies will talk about their writing retreats. They will share information on what they offer writers, as well as tips for the application process. Bring your questions and don't let go of that dream of finding uninterrupted time to write!

Seattle Writes supports local writers through programs, workshops, write-ins and by providing spaces to work throughout the city. The program series is made possible with the generous support of The Seattle Public Library Foundation.

The Library believes that the power of knowledge improves people's lives. We promote literacy and a love of reading as we bring people, information and ideas together to enrich lives and build community.
