Today we're launching Peak Picks at all locations of The Seattle Public Library! Now, you'll find best-selling books and in-demand titles that are immediately available for checkout at all our locations. No holds. No wait. Stop by your local library to see what's available today.

Some of the current titles include:

"Astrophysics for People in A Hurry" by Neil deGrasse Tyson
"Love and Other Consolation Prizes" by Jamie Ford
"Sing, Unburied, Sing" by Jesmyn Ward
"What Happened" by Hillary Rodham Clinton
"You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" by Sherman Alexie

We've been testing the program at eight locations for a few months, and have heard lots of great feedback. Library staff are seeing more people, more often, and Library patrons have said "Peak Picks has made me start reading again" and "I'm not on Facebook as much since I have to finish my Peak Picks book in two weeks!"

How it works

The two-week lending period for Peak Picks means more people can access our most popular titles sooner. They are subject to the usual late fees and can't be renewed, so enjoy them fast!

No reservations

Peak Picks are first come, first served. Get to your branch early for the best selection, as supplies are limited.
