New citizens of the United States will be sworn in during a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) naturalization ceremony from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at The Seattle Public Library, Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636.

Library programs and events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

At the ceremony, 50 citizen applicants will take the Oath of Allegiance and become U.S. citizens. The ceremony will include a keynote speech from Chief Librarian Marcellus Turner, as well as presentations given by USCIS staff.
