release date: 04/30/2021
Looking for information on running a business? Find out which business structure is right for you with The Seattle Public Library’s Black-Owned Business Excellence: Upgrade Your Business Entity online event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4.
Library events are free and everyone is welcome. Registration is required, visit the Library’s calendar to sign up.
ABOUT THE SERIES
At this presentation, learn the benefits of each business entity — sole proprietorship, LLC, Non-Profit, SCorp, CCorp, Social Enterprise — from established Certified Public Accountant, Isaiah Gresham. Attendees will hear about business licenses and registrations for contracts, certifications and grants.
The Library’s Library to Business program has partnered on this series with Black-Owned Business Excellence, a group of professionals and organizations developing events designed to inspire, educate, celebrate and generate excellence in Black-owned businesses in the state of Washington.
The next events will take place Aug. 3 and Nov. 9. You can also join Facebook and LinkedIn groups to connect with the Black-owned business community and get help with your own business.
The Library brings people, information and ideas together to enrich lives and build community. We support universal access to information and ideas, and form strong partnerships with local organizations to offer classes and workshops that are accessible to all.
Limited in-building services are now available at the Lake City, Southwest and Beacon Hill branches. Visit the Library's Road to Reopening page for more information on Curbside Service, book returns and other services.
Contact the Library’s Ask Us service by phone at 206-386-4636 or by email or chat at www.spl.org/Ask. Staff are ready to answer questions and direct you to helpful resources and information during this challenging time.
