The Seattle Public Library will host musical performances by the Ladies Musical Club at two locations in March.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

  • Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636. This month's concert will feature folk songs and lullabies for voice and guitar, as well as selections from "The Well-Tempered Clavier" by Johann Sebastian Bach. Performances will be given by sopranos Christine Menschner and Ya-Li Lee, soprano, guitarist Hilary Field and pianist Katie O'Rourke.
     
  • 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 12 the West Seattle Branch, 2306 42nd Ave. S.W., 206-684-7444. This month's concert will feature French and British duets from the late Romantic period. Performances will be given by soprano Katie Hochman and mezzo soprano Catherine Treadgold, with Joan Lundquist on piano.

The Ladies Musical Club is an organization of women with the mission to foster classical music in the community through education, performance and awards.

Library programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Free parking is available near the West Seattle Branch. Parkingis available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.
