The Seattle Public Library will offer two workshops to help individuals with a criminal background successfully apply for employment. The workshops will take place from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Aug. 16 and Sept. 6 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Boeing Technology Training Center Room 4, 206-386-4636 .

Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. These job-seeking workshops are stand-alone, but patrons are welcome to attend either or both events.

The workshops will provide preparation tips and strategies to answer criminal background questions.
