Learn How to Support Immigrants at The Seattle Public Library March 2

The Seattle Public Library invites service providers, anyone who works with immigrants and refugees and the general public to receive free training on supporting immigrants from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 1, Microsoft Auditorium, 206-386-4636.
Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage for $6 after 5 p.m.
Instructors from the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project will discuss immigration issues, focusing on recent developments like the recently signed executive orders and the Muslim travel ban. The presentation will also include a summary of due process rights for immigrants and how allies can best advocate for immigrants. By the end of the training, participants will be better able to communicate accurate information about various immigration issues to their immigrant and refugee friends and neighbors.
