The Seattle Public Library will present monthly discussion groups for seniors at two Library locations in June.

Library events and programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Brown bag lunches are welcome. Free parking is available in the branch parking lot at both locations.

MEETING SCHEDULE
 

Noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 7 at the Southwest Branch, 9010 35th Ave. S.W., 206-684-7455 . This month's topic will be the Seattle Reads 2017 pick, "The Turner House," and race and family across generations. This meeting is presented in partnership with Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action (PSARA).


Noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at the Green Lake Branch, 7364 E. Green Lake Dr. N., 206-684-7547 . This month's topic will be the current status of Medicare and health care.
 

Hot Topics for Seniors is a place to discuss current national, state and local issues. The groups select topics, which may include issues such as education, health care, benefit programs, hospice, palliative care, immigration, gun control, transportation or housing.
