The Seattle Public Library has partnered with United Way of King County and Food Lifeline, with support from Boeing and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), to bring healthy and kid-friendly foods to six Library locations where kids in need already live, learn and play. Free lunches and snacks will be available for all youth ages 18 and under at the Broadview, Columbia, Delridge, Green Lake, High Point and Northgate branches this summer, Monday, June 26 through Friday, Sept. 1.

Library programs are free and everyone is welcome. Free parking is available at both locations. No meals will be provided when the Library is closed on Tuesday, July 4.

Dates, times and locations for the Kids Cafe Summer Meal Program at the Library are as follows.

12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, June 27 through Sept. 1 at the Broadview Branch, 12755 Greenwood Ave. N., 206-684-7519 .

The meals program picks up where school meal programs leave off in June by providing free meals and snacks to all children and teens (18 years and younger) during the summer months. All kids are welcome - no proof of income, address or citizenship is ever required. Kids Cafe meals are specifically selected to appeal to kids' notoriously picky palates and to meet their special nutritional guidelines.
