Curbside service and book drops closed due to air quality on Sept. 15; restrooms open at some locations

Due to poor air quality, the Library is unable to provide Curbside Service on Sept. 16 and book drops are closed. For information on rescheduled appointments see our Curbside Service page.
Restroom access is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Central Library, Ballard Branch, Beacon Hill Branch and Capitol Hill Branch, which have air conditioning.
Patrons with Curbside appointments today will be contacted by the Library about rescheduled pickup dates and can find more information on the Library’s website.
Patrons should check the Library website: www.spl.org before visiting any location, since air quality issues can change suddenly. The Library closes outdoor services when the air quality index reaches a sustained unhealthy level of 150 and above.
