release date: 09/14/2020
The Seattle Public Library has suspended all Curbside Pickup appointments and all book drops are closed today, Monday, Sept. 14 due to very unhealthy air quality. The Library closes outdoor services when the air quality index reaches a sustained unhealthy level of 150 and above.
The Seattle Public Library has been offering Curbside Pickup Service to give patrons access to physical materials while Library buildings are closed due to COVID-19. The Library had hoped to offer Curbside Service today for patrons who were unable to pick up their materials earlier last week due to unhealthy air from the wildfire smoke.
Patrons with Curbside appointments today will be contacted by the Library about rescheduled pickup dates and can find more information on the Library’s website.
Restroom access will be available today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Central Library, Ballard Branch, Beacon Hill Branch and Capitol Hill Branch. Patrons should check the Library website: www.spl.org before visiting any location, since air quality issues can change suddenly.
