The Seattle Public Library, in partnership with Clarion West, is hosting a Virtual Summer of Science Fiction and Fantasy reading series. Each Tuesday at 6 p.m., an author reading will be live via Zoom and streaming on YouTube.

Readings include selections from recently published books, unpublished stories or novels-in-progress. The featured reader will also answer questions about writing, teaching, editing and other topics.

  • 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 27 (date changed) – Open Mic Night in collaboration with Two Hour Transport. Participants of the 2020 Clarion West Write-a-thon can register to read their science fiction, fantasy and horror works! There will be open mic readings for the first hour, followed by featured readers (TBD) for the second hour. Open mic sign-ups will begin at 5:30 p.m., and registration information will be available closer to the event.
