Formerly incarcerated individuals can get help applying for employment from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 at the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave., Level 4, Boeing Technology Training Center Room 4, 206-386-4636.

Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.

The workshops will provide preparation tips and strategies to answer criminal background questions.

"This is a really valuable resource for patrons with conviction histories and for local case managers," says Elizabeth Windsor, librarian at The Seattle Public Library. "We’ve received overwhelmingly positive evaluations from attendees, and it addresses two of the Library's Service Priorities: community engagement and technology & access."

Job skills and digital creativity classes are made possible by support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation, and in partnership with South Seattle College.
