The 28th Annual Artist Showcase at the Southwest Branch of The Seattle Public Library will be on display through the month of October during open hours at the Southwest Branch, 9010 35th Ave. S.W., 206-684-7455.

The Artist Showcase is a non-juried, nonprofit exhibit. The exhibit will be on display at the branch from Sunday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 31. Artwork will not be offered for sale at the Library, but artists will have their names and contact information near their work.

A public reception with the artists will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Southwest Branch. It's a chance to discuss art with the artists in a low-key, friendly environment.

The Library gives everyone the opportunity to learn and excel. With the annual Artist Showcase, we level the playing field for local artists to display their work. We build community by hosting art workshops with local teaching artists, and enrich lives by showing everyone how they can create physical and digital art.
