Chat with a librarian at The Seattle Public Library in Spanish
Spanish-speaking customers of The Seattle Public Library can now "chat" online with a librarian. Hours of service vary from between 12 to 20 hours daily.
The service is already available for English-speaking customers.
To chat with a librarian in Spanish or English, visit www.spl.org and select the "Ask a Librarian" image. From this page, customers can connect to the chat service in Spanish or English.
Online chat allows customers to get connected immediately with a librarian to get their questions answered. The librarian and customer communicate by text messaging in real time.
The Seattle Public Library collaborated with the Washington State Library and Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) to provide the chat service in Spanish.
Customers may also call, email or visit any location of the Library to receive assistance from a librarian.
