All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at the Central Library will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.
Service interruption in the Library's Online Catalog – May 28 and May 29
The Library will be performing maintenance on our catalog starting at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 29. During this time, you will be able to search the Bibliocommons catalog, but will not be able to log in, place holds, renew items or use other catalog features. The former Library catalog (Horizon Information Portal), SPL Mobile, access to e-books, free music downloads and many databases and applications also will be unavailable.
One-on-one Help With Business Planning at The Seattle Public Library Begins Jan. 4
Entrepreneurs can make an appointment with a librarian trained in business reference and market research at two locations of The Seattle Public Library in January and February.
Library events are free and open to the public. Registration is required. Visit or call the Library branch to sign up. Appointments are available for up to one hour.
Librarians will work with entrepreneurs at all stages of business development to find information and data for planning a business or operating a current business. The Library has print and digital resources which can help with many kinds of business questions, including finding industry information, writing a business plan, sizing a market and identifying customers.
January appointments are available at the South Park Branch, 8604 Eighth Ave. S., 206-615-1688, for the following times and dates:
- 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 4 and 18
- Noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 11 and 25
February appointments are available at the Delridge Branch, 5423 Delridge Way S.W., 206-733-9125, for the following times and dates:
- 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 7 and 21
- Noon to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Feb. 14 and 28
