LibraryLink graphic

Library Link is a collaboration between The Seattle Public Library and Seattle Public Schools to connect students in grades K-12 with online resources and media.

All Seattle Public Schools students and teachers/staff can create a Library card number with their student or staff ID number.

Teachers and Staff:

  • Your Library Link number is 991, followed by two to seven zeroes, followed by your 3- to 8-digit SPS Employee ID number to create a 13-digit number.
  • Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your Library Link account number.

Library Link Tips for Teachers

What is Library Link and how do I use it?

Library Link isn’t a resource on its own. It is a Seattle Public Library account number that has automatically been created using Seattle Public Schools students’ Student ID number. Students use it just like they would Seattle Public Library card online. To get started, visit the Library Link page.

Resources for Educators

Help your students learn from home. We have collected links to remote learning resources for pre-K through high school teachers, available through the Library as well as other organizations.

Group Visits for Youth

You are welcome to bring your class or youth-serving organization to visit the Central Library any time during our open hours. The Children’s Center is staffed during all open library hours and the Teen Center is staffed from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day. You are always encouraged to ask our staff for assistance with orienting to the building and finding relevant materials for your group. If you would like to visit a different branch, please contact the branch directly.
