Are you a current patron requesting a new Library card?

Your new card will have a new barcode number and will have some effect on your Library account. Here are some tips for an easy transition to your new card:

Library Catalog:

  • If you have signed up for a username, you can continue using that to log in to the Library catalog.
  • Otherwise, use your new barcode to log in to the catalog.
  • Your holds and history will be retained.

E-books and downloads

  • Download your digital materials before requesting a new card.
  • Important: Your current holds and history will be unavailable for a few days while the information is transferred to your new card.
  • You can use your new card immediately to check out digital materials and place new holds.

Library Elf

  • Add your new barcode to your Library Elf account.

Computer Reservations

  • Ask a Library staff member to transfer your computer reservations to your new card.

Library Mobile App

  • Enter your new barcode into the mobile app, or use your catalog username to log in.
