Student Success at The Seattle Public Library

We offer programs and services to help students of all ages succeed in school. K-12 students can get help with their homework and kids without homework can read and play learning enrichment games with trained tutors. Teens have the opportunity to get academic coaching and earn service learning credits.

Elementary and Middle School

We can help younger students succeed whether or not they have assigned homework.

Teen Service Learning

Earn credits while you gain job skills at the Library. Work on interesting projects and develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills. If you like working with kids, become a Learning Buddy and help elementary students with reading and math. Service learning looks great on your resume!

College Prep

Prepare for college with the help of trained volunteers at your Library!

  • Get one-on-one help completing financial aid (FAFSA/WASFA) applications
  • Take a SAT or ACT test prep class
  • Get Ready for College: Work with a UW Dream Project volunteer to complete your college applications and write winning essays
  • Earn service learning credits while you gain experience in our teen job skills program
