Getting to the Columbia Branch

The Columbia Branch is located on the west-side of Rainier Avenue South between South Edmunds Street and South Alaska Street.

 

 

Driving from the north (going south) via I-5:

• Take I-5 exit 163 at Columbian Way.
• Go through the first stop light after leaving the off-ramp, then get in the left hand lane.
• Follow the arterial 1½ miles southeast to Rainier Ave. S. (Note: Stay in the left hand lane of the arterial to follow several street name changes. The arterial starts as 15th Ave. S near Jefferson Park, becomes Columbian Way and then becomes South Alaska St. before reaching Rainier Ave. )
• Turn right on Rainier Ave. S.
• The Columbia Branch is on the right.

Driving from the south (going north) via I-5:

• Take I-5 exit 161 (Swift Ave.-Albro Place) toward Albro Place.
• Turn left onto Swift Ave. S.
• Turn right onto S. Graham St. and go east 1½ miles.
• Turn left onto Rainier Ave. S. and go north for one mile.
• The Columbia Branch is on the left.

Parking

Parking is available in the library parking lot on the south side of the library building.
