Genealogy Collection

Map your family history with genealogy resources at the Library. Visit the Genealogy Collection and receive specialized assistance on Level 9 of the Central Library.

Genealogy librarians are available 11 a.m. - noon and 1-3 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, and 1-3 p.m. Sunday.

  • Genealogy appointments
    Schedule a 30-minute appointment with a Genealogy Librarian. Visit the Genealogy Collection or call (206) 386-4636 and ask for Genealogy to schedule an appointment.

    Use the Library's online genealogy resources to find newspapers, historical records, maps and more.
  • Tours, classes and workshops
    Learn about family history research and how to use the Library's genealogy resources for your projects.
  • Genealogy Collection and reference assistance
    Access one of the largest genealogy book collections in the U.S., including historical directories, family histories, immigration lists, military records, census records and more.
