The Seattle Public Library

REPRESENT YOUR COMMUNITY!

The Seattle Public Library’s Citizen Implementation Review Panel (CIRP) is actively seeking new members.

The 15-member panel meets monthly to monitor and provide feedback on implementation of the voter-approved $196.4 million “Libraries for All” (LFA) bond measure.

The bond money, which can be used only for construction of libraries, is funding a new Central Library and 27 new and improved branches. Each library has a designated CIRP steward.

CIRP volunteers are appointed to three-year terms by The Seattle Public Library board of trustees, the City Neighborhood Council (CNC), or CIRP and are confirmed by the City Council.

The Library Board and CIRP are soliciting applications to fill current openings. Volunteers must be Seattle residents and have a background in successful community-based projects, a creative approach to problem-solving and decision-making, or experience with capital projects construction, project management, or finance.

To apply, mail or fax applicant information to The Seattle Public Library, Capital Program Office, Attn: Ingrid Jennings, 1000 Fourth Ave., Seattle, WA 98104; fax: 206-386-4108. For more information, please contact Jennings, 206-386-4164, or by e-mail, Ingrid.Jennings@spl.org.
