Application Process for the
Citizen Implementation Review Panel
The
following timeline will be used for applications
and interviews for the six positions on the
Citizen Implementation Review Panel (CHIRP)
to be selected by the City Neighborhood Council
(CNC). The Seattle Library Board will use a
separate process to select its six nominees.
The CNC will send a copy of all submitted applications
to the Library Board, so applicants do not have
to apply twice.
Qualifications:
Members of the CHIRP will serve staggered three-year
terms. Applicants must be willing to volunteer
a sufficient amount of time to adequately develop
the Libraries for All plan. Successful applicants
will have at least one of the following qualifications:
(1) a demonstrated involvement with successful
community-based projects; (2) a creative approach
to problem-solving and decision-making; (3)
experience with capital projects construction,
project management, or finance.
