CIRP Meeting June 15, 1999
3rd Floor Auditorium, Central Library
5:00-7:00 p.m.

  • Welcome and Introductions

    Select panel name (eg. CIRP, CHIRP etc)*

  • Review Panel's Charge (Council resolution 29846, Library Board resolution of November 24th, Livingston summary, Licata summary -- please read these items in advance of meeting)

  • Select Terms of Service* (eg. One, two or three years – all renewable as 3 year terms)

  • Selection of 15th Member (please read resumes in advance of meeting)

  • Leadership Stucture of Citizen's Implementation Review Panel: (Chair/co-chair? Steering Committee? Issue leads? Other? Discussion and possible agreement on structure at this meeting; select leaders at subsequent meeting, once members have become better acquainted).

  • Meetings:
    --establish meeting times*
    --discuss Open meetings
    --decide about regular Public Comment period*
    --discuss use of subcommittees
    --discuss method of decision-making (Roberts Rules, consensus, majority vote, other?)
    --discuss rules of engagement (review draft in packet)
    --reporting/communication methods

  • Discuss Information Resources needed by CIRP

  • Set date and agenda for Retreat*

  • Opportunity Fund: begin discussion of CIRP's preferred role in meeting its charge of recommending allocations to the Library Board.
