Northgate Branch Design ImagesThe Miller/Hull Partnership is designing a new 10,000-square-foot Northgate Branch, 20,000-square-foot community center and a 1.67-acre park on the site of the Goodyear store (the former Bon Tire Center) at Fifth Avenue Northeast and Northeast 105th Street and the commercial site one lot north. Revised Design DevelopmentThe Miller/Hull Partnership
revised the design of the Northgate Branch,
community center and park project after construction
bids came in higher than expected. The design
team analyzed bid prices and made design revisions
after evaluating issues such as materials, finishes,
program needs, durability, and aesthetics. Click on image below to see a larger view. The most recent images are at the top of the page.
Design DevelopmentThe Miller/Hull Partnership developed these images during the latest stage of design, called "design development." By the end of design development, the architects have finalized the design of the building, including how the library will be laid out and what materials will be used to build it. Schematic DesignThese images are from the first stage of design, called “schematic design.” By the end of schematic design, the architects will have established the basic building layout and its electrical, mechanical and structural system needs. The design, including the colors and building materials, will evolve during the next phase of work, called “design development.” Click on any image below to see a larger view.
