Lake City Branch Design ImagesARC Architects is designing the 5,987-square-foot expansion to the Lake City Branch. A neighborhood service center will be co-located with the library. The most recent images are at the top of the page. Click on any image below to see a larger view. Design DevelopmentARC Architects developed these images during the latest stage of design, called "design development." By the end of design development, the architects have finalized the design of the building, including how the library will be laid out and what materials will be used to build it.
Schematic DesignThese images are from the first stage of design, called "schematic design." By the end of schematic design, the architects will have established the basic building layout and its electrical, mechanical and structural system needs. The design, including the colors and building materials, will evolve during the next phase of work, called "design development." Click on any image below to see a larger view.
The images and floor plan also are on display at the branch.
