Monthly Expenditure Report

The Libraries for All (LFA) Financial Summary for this month includes the following reports:

  • Summary of expenditures and encumbrances measured against annual and total budget from all fund sources.

  • Summary of expenditures and encumbrances measured against annual and total budget from all bond fund sources.

  • Summary of expenditures and encumbrances measured against annual and total budget from the Cumulative Reserve Fund and revenue from potential property sales.

  • Summary of expenditures and encumbrances measured against annual and total budget from the Library Foundation.

  • Summary of fund balances.

The figures in the attached reports are preliminary and subject to change.

Report Summaries

February 2008 Branch Expenditures

Broadview – Expenditures were for architectural services and signage.

Douglass-Truth – Expenditures were for architectural services.

Madrona-Sally Goldmark – Expenditures were for inspections and construction.

Magnolia – Expenditures were for architectural services, inspections, construction, art design services and utility services.

North East – Expenditures were for architectural services.

Northgate – Expenditures were for library furniture and equipment.

Queen Anne – Expenditures were for construction and library equipment.

South Park – Expenditure reduction was due to a refund from the title company related to the land purchase.

Southwest – Expenditure was for library equipment.

University – Expenditures were for construction and library equipment.

Branch Technology – Expenditures were for Capitol Hill, Columbia, Madrona-Sally Goldmark, Magnolia, North East, Queen Anne, Rainier Beach and University.

Central Technology – Expenditures were for automated materials handling system improvements.

Collections – Expenditures funded through the Opportunity Fund were for branchwide on-line resources.

Fund Balance

The UTGO Series 1 & 2 funds (voter-approved bonds) includes actual interest earnings credited to the Bond Account.
