Central Library Preliminary Design Images
On Dec. 15, 1999, Rem Koolhaas of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture
presented preliminary designs for Seattle's new central library. The
study model displayed last week has returned with the architects to
their Rotterdam office. It will be used and altered to study in three
dimensions the evolving design of the building. The model represented
the first six weeks of a six month initial design phase called "Schematic
Design."
More design images will be added to this page as they become available.
