The Seattle Public Library will receive sealed bids from qualified general contractors ONLY until 2:00 P.M., October 30, 2001, in the LFA Meeting Room on the 2nd Floor, at the Temporary Central Library, located at 800 Pike Street, Seattle, Washington, 98101. Bids hand delivered will be logged in starting at 1:30 P.M., October 30. Bids delivered before 1:30 P.M. shall go to the Capital Program Office, Attn: Douglas Bailey, AIA, at the Downtown Library. BIDS RECEIVED AFTER 2:00 P.M. WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Seattle Public Library is an Equal Opportunity Employer. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified or bank cashier's check, or by a bid bond from a state-licensed surety company in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, made payable to the SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD, Seattle, Washington. Bid documents will be available on October 1, 2001. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless and until the award of contract has been delayed for a period of forty-five (45) days.
