A citizen review panel helping oversee implementation of last November's successful "Libraries for All" bond issue will hold its first meeting from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the Central Library, 1000 4th Ave., Lee Auditorium.
Panel members, appointed by the Library Board and the City Neighborhood Council, will review the panel's charge, establish meeting times and address other organizational matters.
The group will also begin discussing developing a process for making its recommendation to the Library Board on the allocation of an "opportunity fund." A $6 million opportunity fund was included in the Libraries for All plan to help pay for development of unanticipated Library service needs.
