How can I find out when events are scheduled?

    Monthly e-mail newsletters from the Library that announce upcoming events and services

  • Seattle Reads
    Brings an author to town for free programs. The entire community is invited to read the featured book.
  • The Washington State Book Awards
    A chance to hear local authors read from their award-winning books
  • Summer Reading Program
    A summer full of events and reading activities for children, teens and adults
  • The September Project
    An exploration of freedom, democracy, patriotism and citizenship
  • Banned Books Week
    A chance to hear and see performances from books that have been censored.
  • The McLellan/O'Donnell Living Literature/History series
    Evenings with humanities scholars portraying historical and literary figures
