Libraries for All Capital Projects and the Douglass-Truth Branch
The Douglass-Truth Branch closed at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2005, so construction could begin to expand the popular branch. For details and contact information, please see "Expanding the Douglass-Truth Branch."
Library services during construction
Douglass-Truth Branch users are invited to use any location of The Seattle Public Library, including the Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave. See Library Locator above. The branches closest to Douglass-Truth are:
Columbia Branch, 4721 Rainier Ave. S.
Madrona-Sally Goldmark Branch, 1134 33rd Ave.
Capitol Hill Branch, 425 Harvard Ave. E.
Beacon Hill Branch, 2821 Beacon Ave. S.
Douglass-Truth Branch users may choose any other location of The Seattle Public Library as a pickup location for items placed on hold, interlibrary loan requests or purchase suggestions. Library materials may be returned to any branch. If patrons don't select an alternate branch, their Douglass-Truth holds will be sent to the Columbia Branch.
