Do you speak English but want to learn another language? Want help learning English? You can learn another language or get help with English without even leaving your computer with the Library's online resource, Mango Languages!
Mango Languages now offers Mango Basic -- a simple, practical introduction to a language -- in 22 languages and English as a Second Language (ESL) courses in 14 languages. They also offer more advanced courses in 9 languages and advanced ESL courses in 3 languages.
If you are not on a Library computer, you will need to log in with your Library card number.
Learn a foreign language
With Mango Languages, you can learn Arabic (Levantine), Chinese (Mandarin), Dari, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Pashto, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese.
Learn English
Arabic, Brazilian-Portuguese, Cantonese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese speakers can use Mango Languages to learn English.
To begin using Mango Languages, select Start Learning and then select Mango Basic or Mango Complete and choose the language you want to learn. The narrator will then lead you through your lessons.
