|  | Nick and Zack review books aimed at teen girlsIn this first episode of the Teen Center Advisers, Nick and Zack review two books aimed at teen girls: The Quiz Life by Marina Khidekel and Guyaholic by Carolyn Mackler. Since both reviews were negative, they sparked a discussion among the group about what kinds of books are marketed at teen girls, what makes them good or bad, and how they might be judged fairly. The girls in the group recommended some quality teen titles aimed at girls for Zack and Nick to try.

|  | Nick Hornby: 'Slam'Nick Hornby read from his first novel for teens, Slam, Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Central Library. The New Yorker called Hornby "the maestro of the male confessional." His bestselling adult novels include High Fidelity and About a Boy, both of which were made into movies. The short piece at the begining is an interview with Nick Hornby by two teen volunteers who are members of The Seattle Public Library's Teen Advisory Board.

|  | Potterpalooza: All Ages Rock Roll Concert with Harry and the PottersHarry and the Potters came to the Central Library to "Rock the Library DOWN!" The Library presented "Potterpalooza: All Ages Rock and Roll Concert with Harry and the Potters" on Friday, July 13 at the Central Library. Brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge, of Harry and the Potters, brought their wizard-rock to the Library.
