The following items are available for check out and may be reserved online using the Library's catalog or by contacting Borrower Services at 206-386-4190 or by sending an email to Ask a Librarian.
Downloadable Audio Books and e-Books
Downloadable audio books can be listened to on MP3 players or other speech systems or read on Braille systems, Braille Palms, and other hand held devices. E-books can be read using adaptive computer speech programs. The Library has more than 18,000 e-books and more than 14,000 downloadable audio books.

Descriptive Video Service (DVS)
Descriptive Video Service (DVS) provides an audio track with description that enhances the film experience for blind and low-vision people. The descriptions add information related to the setting, characters' attire, and facial expressions during breaks in the film dialogue.

Receive Notices by Telephone or Email
The Library can notify you by telephone or email when items are overdue or items on hold are available for pick-up. TeleCirc, our telephone notification system, does not work with TTYs. To arrange to receive notices, contact your branch library or Borrower Services at 206-386-4190 or email Ask a Librarian.
