Americans with Disabilities Act Accommodation

The Library provides accommodations on request for physical access, communications or other needs to ensure services, activities and programs are available to people with disabilities. To report an accessibility issue or file an ADA grievance, contact The Seattle Public Library, Cleo Brooks, ADA Coordinator, 1000 Fourth Ave., Seattle, WA 98104. 206-615-1380 V/TTY.

ADA Circulation Qualification Program

The Library established the ADA Circulation Qualification Program to serve patrons who have disabilities that are expected to last at least six months. Applicants must have a temporary or permanent mental or physical condition that makes it difficult or impossible to return Library materials within the usual three-week checkout period. A doctor, nurse, therapist, social worker, or other medical professional must certify the applicant is eligible for this service.
