All library branches have Accessibility Toolkits, which contain a variety of assistive devices to assist our low vision and blind patrons.
Items included in the toolkits:
Keyboard One large-type, high-contrast PC keyboard is located at each branch for patrons needing more visibility. These specific stations are named with the ADA identifier so patrons know which station has this keyboard.
Low Vision Note-writing Frame This device offers even line spacing for patrons with low vision for filling out forms or taking notes during research.
Low Vision Signature Guide This device creates a signature space for patrons to use when signing their name on library cards, checks and other documents.
Low Vision Writing Tablet This wide-ruled paper offers thick, dark lines for patrons with low vision and can be used for reference or research notes.
Thick Pen (20/20 marker) This marker is great for writing down reference answers, such as call numbers or addresses, for patrons with low vision.
