All locations of The Seattle Public Library and the book drops at Central Library will be closed Wednesday, March 29 for a staff in-service day. Regular operating hours will resume Thursday, March 30.

The Seattle Public Library supports the efforts of parents and caregivers in their work with children. Children's services librarians are available to help at most branches. See the Map of Library Locations or call Children's Services at 206-386-4675.

My First Library Card Tote Bags- When early learners (age 0-6) get their first Library card, they will receive a special gift, courtesy of the Friends of The Seattle Public Library.
Begin with Books - Reading to young children gives them an early love of books and encourages them to become lifelong readers. You can start your child's reading adventure with "Begin with Books" Toddler and Preschool theme kits.
Sensory Story Times - Sensory story times are geared for children ages 10 and under who have a hard time in large groups, are on the autism spectrum, or are sensitive to sensory overload.
