Free tax assistance available at The Seattle Public Library

The Seattle Public Library, United Way of King County and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) are collaborating to offer free tax preparation service January through mid-April at 11 locations of The Seattle Public Library.

Trained volunteers will answer questions and help prepare personal tax returns. The service is not available for business tax returns.

Tax assistance will be available at the times and locations listed below. Drop-in assistance will be offered on a first come, first served basis; appointments required as noted below.

Tuesday, Jan. 15 through Monday, April 15 - drop-ins only

• Noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reproducible forms are available for photocopy for 15 cents per page at all Library locations. Please call ahead to find out if print forms are available at your branch. Most IRS forms are available online at www.irs.gov.
