Author Readings at The Seattle Public Library in February

The Seattle Public Library will feature writers and their work at several Library locations in February. Event details with times and locations are outlined below.


Words, Writers and West Seattle

Elise Hooper will read from her first novel "The Other Alcott," based on the life of May Alcott, the youngest sister of Louisa May Alcott. This program is part of the author series organized by the Southwest Historical Society.

Margot Kahn discusses "This is the Place: Women Writing About Home"

Local author Kahn discuss her new book "This Is the Place: Women Writing About Home"-a collection of 30 personal essays by women about homemaking, homelessness, immigration, family, and more.




Hsiao-Ching Chou discusses "Chinese Soul Food"

A cookbook of homestyle Chinese dishes by local author Chou, the new "Chinese Soul Food" contains 80 recipes for favorites you can easily make any night of the week.




Samuel Harrington discusses "At Peace"

After working with patients and as a hospice trustee, Harrington offers a unique perspective on end-of-life planning and care. He will appear in conversation with Mary Ann Gwinn, author and journalist for The Seattle Times and other publications.
