The Seattle Public Library now offers free cell phone tour of the Central Library
The Seattle Public Library now offers a free, self-guided cell phone tour of the world-renowned Central Library, 1000 Fourth Ave.
The cell phone tour is free and available to the public. Patrons and visitors must use their own cell phones for the tour. Standard cell phone company charges apply. Parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates.
Patrons and visitors can take the tour by dialing 206-686-8564. Instructions will follow to dial tour stop numbers followed by the # sign. Signs are located at 19 sites throughout the Central Library. Cell phone tour brochures are located at Central Library welcome desks and online at www.spl.org.
The cell phone tour includes an introduction by City Librarian Marcellus Turner, descriptions of design features by an LMN architect, and narrations by Library docents and staff members.
Other Central Library tour options available on the Library's website (www.spl.org) include an online virtual tour, an audio tour that can be downloaded to an iPod or other MP3 player, and printable map and tour guide.
