Levy funding for major maintenance:

• Fully funds a program of repairs to extend the life of all libraries in Seattle
• Maintains building roofs and exteriors
• Periodically updates heating, cooling, plumbing and other systems
• Replaces or repairs flooring, restrooms and other high-wear interior elements
• Maintains equipment, such as the automated book sorter
• Keeps libraries clean and functional
• Provides specialized cleaning
• Repairs and replaces public furniture as needed
• Regularly services heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems
